Obituary of Ronnie Thomas Collins

Mr. Ronnie Thomas Collins, age 68, of Rockwood, formerly of Lancing, went home to be with the Lord Saturday November 3, 2018 at his home. Ronnie served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed spending time in nature and roaming the hills of Morgan County.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents: Lloyd and Martha Collins.

One sister: Faye Lloyd.

And three brothers: Lloyd “Bunt” Collins, Bill Collins and James Collins.

 

He is survived by his son: Ronnie Thomas Collins, II and his wife Missy of Menlo Park, California.

His daughter: Leslie Collins of Oakdale.

Three grandchildren: Anna, Noah, and Isaiah Collins.

Two brothers: Bobby Collins and his wife Maggie, and Paul Collins.

Four sisters: Mary Liz Maden and her husband R.B., Emily Shannon, Arthilla Collins, and Gwen Vespie.

Along with several nieces, nephews and other family, friends and loved ones.

 

The family will receive friends Thursday November 8, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Davis Funeral Home, Wartburg with his son Ronnie Thomas Collins, II officiating. Interment will follow in the Forrestner Cemetery in Lancing. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 149 Honor Guard.
